Re: Id. warship
Thanks for your help, ludvig. Do you know which is the exact purpose of the small Motorpinassen. I think these crafts seems too small for minesweeping..... :roll:ludvig wrote

Hi all,
I need help with this German destroyer
I posted a very similar image of this ship with numeral 42 in his hull on 18 Sep 2019 that was identified by Polar bear forum member as Z20 KARL GALSTER.
In this image the numeral don´t appear (I suppose censored) but it is identified as Z22 Anton Schmitt.
Is there a way to correctly identify it?
The truth is that all German destroyers are very similar...

Re: Id. warship
hi,
Look at the shadows of the boat and of the anchor on the ship`s side, the Bowwave, the wave in the foreground and the clouds
greetings, the pb
It is not only similar, it is the SAME picture.

Thanks, Polar bear
According to Ebay photo caption, Turbine destroyer.
Is this correct ? I think that the bridge seems different to that of Turbine-class destroyers....

Re: Id. warship
The #891 picture is actually pretty interesting although I can‘t find much on the Swedish ship in the background.
She is swedish, she has what looks like red crosses painted on both sides of name/nationality on hull side. But what about the flag? It looks more like the Finnish white/blue than the swedish blue/yellow flag. So my question is, was she ever a hospital ship and was she possibly on loan to the Finns? But why, if so still “SVERIGE” on the side?

Hi all,
According to Ebay photo caption, this would be Torpedoboot TA-29 (ex Ariete-class torpedo boat Eridano)
Was this ship rearmed by Germans with 10.5cm SK C32 guns instead of his original italian 100mm guns?
