Hallo Sturm,
1) "Gneisenau" the catapult on the deck of turret "C"
2) an old minensweeper, 1. WW in the Reichsmarine.

Picture 2 (patrol boat): "Eagle" on bridge indicates Kriegsmarine.
Maybe a M-Boote Typ 40..?

no Wally,

not M 40, they came in to the service not until 1944 (?) and this is an old postcard (the colour is yellow), so it was taken in the middle of the 30. It is an old minesweeper from the 1. WW in black the typical colour for torpedo-boats type 1923 and 1924 and minesweepers. The photo was made 1935 or later. i will look later, which boats were in that time in duty yet :milwink:

Hello,
2. = Räumboot from the 3. Räumboot-Flottille = Taxifahrer (to Norway and return to Germany), Kanalarbeiter (English Channel), Blach Sea, GMSA .
The moose head from East-Prussia was her crest.

Hello Sturm,

it is a very interesting vessel and a difficult question. On the first view it looks like a MNL = Marine-Nachschub-Leichter MNL 22, MNL 23 or Ausführung PiLB 45 (Heer) PiLB 43/I (build from cases of MAL 39) - + 06.05.1945 Hela Soviet aircraft (not MTB) or PiLB 43/II (build from cases of MAL 40 from 1943, + April. 1945, Bay of Danzig, sov. aircraft. Gröner, Band 6 (page 213) and Band 7 page 46. At You picture I see a 8,8 cm perhaps but I never read about armament. Ask in the German Forum-Marinearchiv. There are some men which know more better.

Hi all,

I found this image on Ebay. Any ideas?
These vessels appear to have armament behind the bridge. Does anyone know any detail?
