An escort vessel of Nice/Nizza (in the background the "Condé"/"Randazzo").
Someone recognizes the ship or at least the type of gun?

Thanks, ludvig, 10,5 cm looks good, but the gunshield doesn't fit.
And the deck doesn't look right for an AF, so (we're in the Western Mediterranean) it must be a TA-boat, but which of them was carrying a 10,5 cm SK of German construction?

hello
Back to #768 concrning the 10,5 cm SKC /32 ns . this gun had two short of shields :
Schützwand = only front as on your photo , see drawing at :

viewtopic.php?f=70&t=158806&start=30

Schutzschild = four sided box shield

not everything fits (e.g., the mast), but it looks like REGINA MARGHERITA

Yes, that is the battleship that Getty Images identifies it as.

In the drawing from :
http://www.ship-model-today.de/sd151.htm
the lateral vieuw of the gun draw is complectly wrong - no good for any reference about.
I atach two drawings to eliminate this error.
