Sperrbrecher 192

Post by Edward L. Hsiao » 30 Jun 2017 00:37

Gentlemen,
do you have a photo and history of this ship called "Sperrbrecher 192". All I know was that she was part of Donauflottille that was retreating along the Lower Danube in 1944. She was a active ship that survived WWII.
Sincerely,
Edward L. Hsiao

Hi,
could this be the ship:
Sperrbrecher 92, also Sperrbrecher 192, ex mercantile Kepler, 800 tons, commissioned 1941, abandoned on Danube 5/1945.
Source: German Warships of the Second World War, HT Lenton, ARCO Publishing, 1975.

Rand

Take a look at this web page:

Be quick, though, as the relevant parts may disappear if a better candidate for the "Whodunnit?" is found.
