Escorts in Norway

#1

Post by alex crawford » 28 Nov 2004, 20:01

Hi,

I am gathering information/photos for a book on the operational history of the Mosquito Mk XVIII Tse-tse, armed qith a 6pdr (57mm) Molins gun.

While I have details of the operations carried out from the RAF point of view I am looking for some details from the German escort ships. I know these ships carried War diaries and would have recorded any attacks etc,.

Does anyone have access to these diaries?

I am trying to obtain some eye-witness accounts of the attacks.

I can post the names/numbers of some of the escorts that were involved in these attack.

Thanks,

Alex

Hello
Just a brief one, for instance VP5310 on the 21th of october.
It is a gefecthsbericht from that, 9 pages, maps/drawings etc.
Weapons in use, ammuntion spendt and so on.
VP 5310 and others 5 December 1944, 12 pages, same as above.
It seems like it is something there that can be useful for you, ill come back with some info later.
