I wonder if there were any plans for the Kriegsmarine special force ops to convert large merchant ships into carriers of Linse explosive boats or to carry frogmen with piggyback torpedoes like the Italian naval special force ops did with it converted tanker. The ltalian ship looks innocent from the outside as seen by the British. But out came the Italian frogmen with the piggyback torpedoes from under the hull of the ship ready to do much damage to the Allied merchant ships in the harbor. Just a big thought!

Re: Unusual Ships
hi,
greetings, the pb
I think that the case of OLTERRA, a half-sunk ship in neutral waters less than 1 nautical mile from a important naval base, was a singular opportunity which couldn't be repeated.Edward L. Re: Unusual Ships
Unusual attacs force the enemy to react and improve its defense on regular basis. Usually only a one time sting.
