There I am again!

It was U-196 under Korvettenkapitän Eitel-Friedrich Kentrat. The patrol lasted 225 days.

Allright then!

The Gneisenau and the Scharnhorst sunk 16 merchants in March 1941. The Gneisenau was sighted by a British battleship which requested her identification. The Gneisenau replied with the (false) name of a British ship and escapes. Which name?

Hello Benny C
U 28 sank in a training accidente not by negligence
The correct answer is:
04/02/1941
U 43
Wolfgang August Eugen Lüth
Lorient
Because of misuse of valves, which allowed water in the bilges and flooded the boat.
The boat raised and underwent refit during three months.

Please you turn again.
Cheers, Fernando

no, Jean Bart was evacuated to Casablanca and remained under Vichy control...

I give a clue: The ship was about 75% finished (for comparison Jean Bart is listed with 77% finished)
