Re: Knocked out Japanese tanks
The tank on the third photo is not a real Japanese tank. It will be a reproduction on Russian movie.

Re: Knocked out Japanese tanks
The turret and gun look like an attempt to simulate a Type 97-Kai Shinhoto Chi-Ha tank.
But what could the hull possibly be? Can the suspension, drive sprocket, and roadwheels be matched to any Russian tracked vehicle?
One of the dug-in, actual Type 97s at iwo Jima. These were the only ones of 26th Tank Regiment to reach the island?

Here's a Type 97 from: http://muwsan.hp.infoseek.co.jp/photo-97kai.htm
The hull in the Russian movie doesn't match but the suspension, drive sprocket, and roadwheels look close.
