It is read from right to left. It means Japan of sky.

Thank you Taki. I get confused as to when I read right to left. I know the magazine Aviation Asahi is read this way too - Kōkū Asahi (日朝空航)

Thank you, Luftflotte. This is a great little book. Do you own it? If so, could you post readable scans of the cover and back pages? I am interested in the author and illustrator. Also, the small print on the back cover might explain the pictures better. How did you determine that it dates to 1943?

Here are some (rough) translations. I will try and get around to the other pages when I can.

Japan Belongs to the Skies
or Japan of the Skies or Japan of the Sky

2. Parachutes! Sky flowers bursting open. Their mission is to deliver ammunition and meals.
3. Ah, the wild eagles of the army! The engines roar and the formation comes together. The dependable wild eagles of the army fly now and always; the sky defense of Japan is strong.
6. The wild eagles of the sea show their best skill as they nimbly take off together from the steel roof of the aircraft carrier to search high in the sky for the enemy. The sea is smooth. The day is bright.

Notes:
Wild eagles are ace pilots.
In #6 you might also say: The sun glitters or The day glitters or The Sun is bright.
In #2, the word used in the original for "meals" is obento, which is a kind of Japanese prepared box lunch.

Sadly I do not. I saw it on ebay.com at least two months ago but I think the listing was removed. The seller was probably "thisisjapan777." The only specific information they provided was that it was from 1943. Why did they conclude 1943? I would've have guessed it was printed earlier, but I have no evidence.

Thank you for translating what you can! Sorry I couldn't help more.
