Re: Battle of Shimushu
Thank you!
It can very well be. Unfortunately, the data plate on the device itself was rusted and poorly readable.
The name of the manufacturer is known:
Tateyama Heavy Industries Ltd, Toyama City, Japan.

Here is the transport of the production of Tateyama. Narrow-gauge locomotives, Shumshu Island. They were used for the same purpose as Katoworks locomotives

This island Shumshu. Gun - Type 38 105 mm
Interestingly, the bunker is not designed for this gun and is most likely built for naval artillery.

Re: Battle of Shimushu
Foreigners will have problems visiting the island. This is a border zone, there you need a lot of documents and permits. It will be necessary to apply to the FSB for admission.

Re: Battle of Shimushu
A question. This device was found on Paramushera in Japanese artillery positions. A shield from a 105 mm gun Type 38 was found nearby.
This thing is like a scale. But why could she work?
Best regards.

Hello FreyFox,
I could be wrong but to me that looks like a Yoke for a team of horses. 2 horses side by side attached a trailer in the middle.

Re: Battle of Shimushu
That's possible, but I think it's a spreader bar for use with a crane or tow arrangement with a vehicle. It being solid steel would make it heavy for a harness yoke. The twisted hook-like thing on the top middle would more readily be associated with a easy to hook and release using either rope or chain as opposed to something always hooked up.

A plate found on the island of Shumshu from a Japanese automobile motor. Can I find out the brand of the manufacturer and type of product?

Re: Battle of Shimushu
The manufacturer is Isuzu. The type is 商工省標準形式(Ministry of Commerce and Industry standard type). There were some types of engine applied to 商工省標準形式 in Isuzu, but it will be XA engine for Type 94 Truck.
