Thank you for photos of Type 1 truck. I have first seen Type 1 with canvas roof. From which film is it in NHK archives?

I don't know what they load.

This photo was taken when Gen. MacArthur arrived at Atsugi airfield after Japan surrendered. Things on trucks would be equipment of Allied occupation army.

In some sources the truck is designated as a simplified version Isuzu TX40?

No, it is Type 1 wartime model.

It seems that Type 1 wartime truck was 6-wheeled only and 4-wheeled wartime truck is TX-40.. So, "いすゞ トラック図鑑" is correct.

A mysterious truck in Russia. It has a front grille of Type 1 and a side louver of Type 97. If there was no wartime model of Type 1 4-wheeled, it will be Type 97 wartime model.
