Not a tank, but something strange.

An interesting photo.
This device looks like tank turret (from Shinhoto Chi-Ha or may be even something like Chi-Nu), but the gun seems bigger than the one of those tanks, and the gun mask also looks different.
Was this photo taken in Manchuria?

Best regards, Aleks

Hi.

The men give an impression of the size of the turret and it seems to be quite large. I think it can only be a fortress artillery turret but I doubt its japanese.

All i know - photo taken on the Far East shortly after the war.
Looks like a heavy tank turret, and way bigger than Chi-Nu or Chi-Ri.

Then, may be, it could be coastal battery at Port-Arthur (Liushun)?

Yes, it seems the gun is at least 120 mm.

Koto(虎頭) fortress had several 150mm cannons in individual casemate. It looks that.

Koto(虎頭) fortress had 4 Type 45 15cm Cannons. They were single-barrel turret guns. The barrel of Type 45 15cm Cannon resembles it.

FreyFox,

Thank you for interesting photos. The first photo will be Type 90 75mm field gun. But, others will be Type 45 15cm Cannon. As you say, they are different from the turret in question.

If this gun is really 140-150 mm., it seems to be too big for this turret. May be, only some details of the tank turret (like hatch) were used?

Or it's turret from O-I super heavy tank.

Colonel Iwakuro's super heavy tank (100-t weight) have 150-mm type 96 howitzer in main turret and 75-mm Type 88 AA gun in front turret, 1940 dated. Suspension of this tank:

And it's not O-I

Possibly so. A gun and a gun mask can be mounted separately and not belong to the tank.
And the tower at assembling on the concrete basis could be changed.
