Hi Matteus,

I believe that the above mentioned unknown general with white mustache is Tanabe Moritake. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moritake_Tanabe

I was comparing two images which where posted earlier in this thread and would like to hear some opinions:

Image 1:
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 2#p1888982
Lieutenant-General MINEKI Toichiro by VJK

Image 2:
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 9#p1887019
General "Who 2" by me.

Now these two people have some similarities, but i'm definately not sure. I cannot judge the orders, eyes and nose seem to match but ears not?

kind regards,
Matteus

Hello,

I have a photo of an unknown general-liet. with quite rare Orden El Sol del Perú. I know it is a small chance to identify the general-liet., but anyway...
Please help with the identification, if possible.

BR, Roman.

Thank you Mattheus. He looks very similar to Higuchi Kiichiro, but according to his bio does not correspond (no german awards etc..).
Anyway, thank your for your attention.

Hello Roman,

i still can not explain the order, but i think that your man is Kinoshita Hayashi (http://generals.dk/general/Kinoshita/Hayashi/Japan.html).

I uploaded an image which looks very similar to yours, just in lower quality http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 6#p1884586. Source is a site which down for long time.

Please compare (images attached).

Kind regards,

Matteus

EDIT: Sorry for the misleading hint to Higuchi, i was just very very certain that i've already seen this face.

Congrats Matteus, I think it is a match! Well done. I tried to Google IJA holders of the Orden El Sol del Perú, but the only one I could find was MASAKI Jinsaburo. Now we have another holder.

Kind regards,

VJK
