A friend of mine was given this today. The piece of green plastic and small vise grip were found in one of the pouches on the belt. TIA if anyone can tell me what the writing means or knows any more about this!

The vest appears to be the common Chinese communist ammo vest normally associated with the SKS rifle. The metal object in the lat picture is a adjustment too to move the front sight of an AK 47 to adjust for lateral error. Not associated with WW II Okinawa.

The writing is not in Japanese, but in Chinese. It is written as Type 56 assault rifle ammo bag.
