Hi,
I am interested if anyone has more biographical information on Lt. Kushichiro Yamada - famously among the August 14th plotters attempting to prevent Japan's surrender and also the CO of the Toko Kokutai based on Kiska - Aleutian Islands.I am aware of his war-time exploits and even have found after-action reports signed in his own hand about his involvement in Operation "U" or the December, 1941 attacks on Wake Island while based at Kwajelein. However, I would love to have home-town information and any personal information (home-town information, anecdotes, names of wife and kids if any of the latter) to fill-out my information on him beyond a laundry list of war-time postings and combat incidents.
Thank you,
Gunnar

Eugene,
I figured that but I thank you for the help anyway. I have also found information on him - beyond a possible interview in an issue of the newspaper circular or magazine "Taiyou" from early 1944 of which I've not yet found an available copy yet - to be exceedingly difficult to find other than his combat record.
Best,
Gunnar
