In a postwar interrogation of Walter Schellenberg in London, taken between 27 June and 12 July 1945, he was asked about collaboration of RSHA VI and Japanese intelligence services. Schellenberg mentioned the contacts in Berlin, having taken them over from the Abwehr following its absorption by RSHA.

2). Kawahara – First Councillor at the Japanese Embassy, an impenetrable and difficult man was was the real political observer representing Tokio.
