Army order number and raiding regiment creation

Does anyone know the Army order number bringing about the creation of the 1st and 2nd Parachute Raiding Regiments in 1942 prior to the Palembang jump? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hello Tom,

The creation of 第1挺進団 1st Raiding Brigade was ordered by 昭和16年軍令陸甲第93号 1941 Army Regulation "A" No.93 dated 1 December 1941.

Firstly created units (completed on 4 December 1941)
- 第1挺進団司令部 1st Raiding Brigade HQ
- 挺進第1連隊 1st Raiding Regiment
- 挺進飛行隊 (欠第3中隊・第4中隊) Air Raiding Unit (minus 3rd CO and 4th CO)
Secondary created units (completed on 9 January 1942)
- 挺進第2連隊 2nd Raiding Regiment
- 挺進飛行隊第3中隊 3rd CO of Air Raiding Unit

The creation of 4th CO of Air Raiding Unit was not completed at the time of Palembang jump. In order to compensate for the lack of air transportation power, 12th air transport company was incorporated under the command of Air Raiding Unit Commander.

1st Raiding Regiment was created from 教導挺進第1連隊 1st Raiding Instruction Regiment.
Unfortunately I don't know the parent unit of 2nd Raiding Regiment.

I found the transfer instruction on JACAR.

This is the order to transfer NCO and soldier trainees who were dispatched from various Armies and Divisions to the 陸軍挺進練習部 Army Raider Training Department into Army Raider Training Department. I think 2nd Raiding Regiment was organized based on these personnel.
