Just before the war,in late July and August German ships hurried to get out of Japan. Were any ships unsuccessful and seized after August 22nd?
In mid September (not sure of date) the Sui-Mow was captured, apparently on the high seas, it was declared a prize of war in 1915. Does anyone have any details. What Japanese naval vessel captured her? when and where. Sui-Mow was renamed Tamoshima Maru for a very short time and then sold to Nisshin Kisen Kaisha in mid 1915 and renamed Paling Maru. Sounds like an interesting human story.
