On March 2nd Japan announced a rotation of troops along the Qingdao to Jinan railway- with the 71st Regiment (Brigade) at Jinan and 11th Division responsible for Qingdao. I have the 9th Division in Korea and 13th in Manchuria. Detachments at 1. Tianjin, Beijing and other Boxer Protocol sites, 2. Hankow on the Yangzi (part of today Wuhan),3. up to 11,000 railway guards along South Manchurian Railway. 4 Qingdao to Jinan railway guards Alerts ordered for 4,5,and 10th Divisions. The above is from news accounts--I am looking for better data---who went where when and in what strength. (and with me of course--(don't let this stop you) the obsessive what ships. Many thanks in advance. Politically, these are related to the "Twenty-One Demands.
