Japan's Imperial guards (Occupation of Singapore)

Hi, I've noticed that all over the internet there is scant information about this division. May I know during the occupation of Singapore, were they in Singapore until the end of the war, or was all of them transferred to Sumatra and never come back to Singapore?

After the occupation of Singapore, it occupied Sumatra. It stayed there until the end of the war.

Hi Akira-San,
thank so much for answering my question. So, does that means that not even one unit come back to Singapore?

Thanks so much, Taki-San!
I would like to ask since Imperial Guards select the best from all the regiment, can an officer from IJA, for example, a lieutenant from a different division be selected into the Imperial Guards?

Imperial guards were selected when they were drafted. I don't know any example that were transferred from other division.
