When China became an ally in August 1917 by Declaring war on Germany. the gunboats interned Sumida, Toba, Fushimi were freed up for service, possibly as early as mid September 1917. Anyone have any data? Many thanks in advance.

Hello jerryasher,

I found a wartime diary (in Japanese) during the internment period.

Many thanks Fontessa: I'll find someone to translate. Any hints? ship--date? what else is covered in this section? Again many thanks.
