Hi All
General question, I am unsure of the correct name for the commander of SubRon 4, in December 1941, on the internet his is either Rear Adm Setsuzo Yoshitomi, or Yoshitomi Setsuzo, can anyone enlighten me please?

Fatboy Coxy;

Yoshitomi would be his family name and Setsuzo is his given name. The Japanese place the family name first and the given name second.
So in Japanese translated directly it's Yoshitomi Setsuzo. In English language sources it is usually shown with the given name first, so Setsuzo
Yoshitomi. Either way is acceptable, but I believe it shows more respect to the Japanese to translate it their way.
