There is no record about the numbers of Koreans in IJA forces, because Koreans were not distinguished from Japanese. Koreans were officially Japanese in those days.

I know that there were some Korean volunteers in 49th Division. But, they would not be many, because Koreans disliked Japanese forces. 120th Division was formed in Manchuria and its infantry regiments came from Japan. So, there were few Koreans.

Hi, Taki, Thank for your help. I see some books Mention 49th Division performed not so well in Burma and is likely that that division contained many reluctant Korean and their morale was low in comparision with other divisions in Burma.

Also some rumour saying that 50th and 66th Divisions contained mountain indigenous People in Taiwan. I think probably recruits from Japanese colonist in Taiwan.

It is an injury to 49th Division. I know that it well fought in Burma through some books.

There were some Takasagos (Formosa aborigines) in 66th Division. I don't know about 50th Division.
