Augmentation of 10th or 14th Divisions, in Manchuria

Post by jerryasher » 27 Mar 2020 17:06

Not sure of the dates, but, the garrison Division of the leased territory in southern Manchuria rotated during 1927. The 10th Division being replaced by the 14th. Looking for dates and transportation. In addition, where either of these divisions. augmented by other troops from Japan or were any units of the Japanese Korea Army, lent for temporary duty? In late March and April 1927, the Imperial Japanese Navy seems to have stationed an augmented force in the Yellow Sea at Yantai(China) and Lushan (Japanese Leased Territory). Ships included battleships: Ise, Hyuga and Nagato, and Sentai 3, Kinu, Kuma, Abukuma and unkown destroyers. Many thanks in advance.

In mean time, IJN announces internally ships location in Naval Gazettes. I tracked the movement of battleships. They stayed in Japan mainland, and moved to Qingdao on 31 March.

The below is major ships at Qingdao
Nagato, Mutsu, Ise, Tatsuta, Yura, 3rd SQ (Kinu, Abukuma, Kuma),
21st Destroyer Division (21 D.D.) .(KIRI, SAKURA. TACHIBANA, Minus KABA)
26 D.D. (TSUGA, KAKI, NIRE, KURI)
27 D.D. (HISHI, SUMIRE, WARABI, ASHI)
9 April at Lushun
Nagato, Mutsu, Ise, Tatsuta, Yura, 21 D.D., 26 D.D., 27 D.D.
11 April ~~ 16 April on the way from Lushun to Dalian
Nagato, Mutsu, Ise, Tatsuta, Hosho, 26 D.D., 27 D.D.
17 April at Chozan Islands (Yellow Sea)
Nagato, Mutsu, Ise, Tatsuta, Hosho, 26 D.D., 27 D.D.
19 April at Incheon
Nagato, Mutsu, Ise, Tatsuta, Hosho,21 D.D., 26 D.D., 27 D.D.

I guess ships position on 11 April ~~ 16 April was concealed, and the below was deployed somewhere necessary for the operation.
Nagato, Mutsu, Ise, Tatsuta, Hosho, 26 D.D., 27 D.D.

Absolutely fantastic: So many thanks Fontessa. I don't read Kanji---I know if I give it another time, I would be able to recognize ship names. Please stay well and thank you again.
