On the type 98 So-Da

Post by tom! » 10 Jun 2020 14:44

Hi.

Just stumbled upon some questions regarding this vehicle:

There are some websites giving a Transport capacity of 1t or up to 10 men. I wonder how they were able to carry such an amount of men with equipment and ammo inside such a small vehicle.
In addition most other sources do not mention the possibility to carry soldiers.

So two questions for now:
1. Was it often used as APC?
2. If yes how many soldiers could be carried with/without equipment?

So-Da is not APC, but ammunition carrier. So, it did not carry soldiers.

Hi.

Thx for clarification.

We had a discussion on this at https://www.secretprojects.co.uk/thread ... pcs.33948/ and this was my knowledge, too.
