I have a citation that 18 warships participated --the Kasagi and Atago from early June--that Admiral Togo arrived at Taku bar in mid June, but do not know name of ship he arrived on, that an advance guard of the 5th Divison--1,300 men arrived at Tianjin on July 14 followed by rest of Division. Any other data would be much appreciated. Were any ships deployed to Shanghai? Much appreciate reference to a fuller narrative---English, French, Italian, Spanish; Many thanks in advance.

FYI: Found list of 18 ships in "Die kaiserliche Marine wahrend der Wirren in China--page 240. Working on names--but that's just a question of German print script and transliterated Japanese to English. Likewise found deployment of some ships to south china, which were not part of the 18. Likewise names of a few Japanese merchant ships around at the time.
