Fate of Japanese captured and freed in the Philippines in 1942?

Post by Sid Guttridge » 30 Jan 2022 11:13

In early 1942 a number of wounded Japanese soldiers were captured by US/Philippino forces after failed landings in the Bataan peninsula,

They were presumably handed back when the US forces surrendered.

Do we know how they were received by their compatriots on their liberation, or what happened to them thereafter?

Cheers,

Sid.
