Japanese-KNIL relations prior to WWII?

I've found several instances of IJA/IJN officers being attached to foreign militaries such as the United States, and vice versa with officers from the US military being attached to the Japanese.

However I've been unable to find anything like this with the Dutch East Indies/KNIL.
Is there any known cooperation or attache programs between the IJA/IJN and the KNIL prior to WWII? I can find almost nothing on even just 1870s-1930s Dutch East Indies-Japanese relations at all.
