Hand grenade fuzes

Hi.

IJA and IJN used Type 91, Type 96, Type 100, Type 3 Hand Grenades and various improvised types. Type 91 and Type 100 Hand Grenades were also used as rifle grenades with the Type 91/Type 100 Rifle Grenade Dischargers with Type 91 also used as ammunition for the Type Taisho 10 and Type 89 Grenade Dischargers.

The hand grenades were mainly fired by an impact fuze but there must at least have been a pull igniter fuze, too, as these grenades were also used for booby traps and auxillary mines. There were also different types of fuzes for rifle grenades.

Is there an overview about the different fuze types and designations used?

For the naval Type 3 Rifle Grenades I found this list on the Gunboards forum:

No, there was no alternative in fuse. There was an impact fuse only for most Japanese hand grenades. The exception is Type 98 hand grenade. It only had a pull igniter fuse.
