What Japanese formation occupied Hong Kong after its fall

Post by Fatboy Coxy » 27 Jul 2023 10:48

Hi all, does anyone know what Japanese formation occupied Hong Kong after its fall to the Japanese 38th Infantry Division, which I believe was with drawn, in preparation for further operations in the Dutch East Indies. I think the Japanese 66th Infantry Regt, which had been deployed as a rearward blocking unit safeguarding the 38th Infantry Division's attack on Hong Kong, may have been that unit, but I am unable to confirm that.

Thank you Akira, and apologies that I didn't look very hard to answer my own question first, as Homer Simpson might say, Duh!
