Who remembers the German post war Nippon Crew?

Post by Suzuko2023 » 03 Aug 2023 19:43

My father was a co-founder of the German post-war Nippon Crew network.eting
They held annual meetings from the early Eighties til turn of century.

In 2012 someone from West Virginia wrote he/she did attend in Germany. The person must have met my father and mother.

I believe the origin if the name of the network are those German persons who were prisoners of war (first Japanese from May 1945 till August 1945, then American PoWs) in Hakone Japan tilll 1947.

Does anybody know more about this Network or about the German Club in Kobe? my mother Carla Künkele was born in Kobe and send home to Germany in 1947 on an American vessel called Marine Jumper
