Yard Numbers for WW2 warships

Post by rjl3 » 29 Oct 2023 22:50

I am hoping that someone can point me to a site or sites where I can find yard numbers for naval warships such as Minesweepers, Subchasers, etc.

I have builders info, completion dates, etc, but very very few yard numbers.

Thanks,

Ralph

The folks at NHHC may be able to give you contact information for the Japanese side. (I was engaged in comms with the Brazilian Navy at point at their behest.)

All small ships such as Minesweepers and Subchasers were built by private shipyards such as 浦賀船渠 Uraga Dock rather than naval yards.
Although it is written in Japanese and may not be complete;

All we can do is check ship by ship the dates of site construction start 起工 / 進水 launch in the below sites. You may know them.
In the Tokusetsukansen page, click 艦艇特設艦艇の部, then 掃海艇 or 駆潜艇.

Or check the Naval Data Bace pages;

駆潜艇
