Japanese Battleship YAMATO
Hi!
I hope anyone of you can help me. You know that there is lots of high quality art prints detailing American, British and German air and naval warfare. What I want to know is, if there are any nice prints (or posters showing these prints as I don't have the money to spend several hundred $$ for one print ) of the Japanese Battleship Yamato (大和)
Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Best wishes
Florian

The two paints above are right reserved, but a Chinese guy scanned and posted them on the internet. Maybe I should provide its url only. But I think there should not be any trouble if they were not used in commercial purpose. If you can't see the pictures, visit that lycos member website directly.
Another Japanese marine artist, Nokami Hayao, had drawed many paints of naval ships and ocean liners too. But his work are particularly on liners and merchant ships. The best art works of former Imperial Japanese Navy are Yuki's. You can search their books on Amazon.
Regards!

ISBN4-05-601261-X Battleship Yamato class
ISBN4-05-601919-3 Battleship Yamato class vol II

This book contains many useful info, such as the design work, the plan from A-140 to A-140F6, photographs of the detailed model, rare pictures on board, introduction of the 460mm main gun and fire ctrl system, internal sketch of captain's room, the captains of Yamato and Musashi, etc. The price is 1553 Yen, or 1800 Yen with tex.

The second book is even more interesting than the first one. It contains an original blue print of the deck plan, many rare details of Yamato, useful for model builders, and the test report of US Navy about a 26-inch armor plate which was intended for use in IJN battleship Shinano. And it has some fine CG works of IJN Yamato, it's final status in the heavy sea.

back cover of the second book. its price is 1800 Yen, tex not included.
and I mus point out that both the books are wrote in Japanese and it means a reader except Japanese and Chinese would be difficult to read them. but if you bought these books only for their pictures, it's also very worthy.
