This is a diploma, issued by Manchurian Army's Central Training Department (or section? I don't know who to translate that unit name into English). The words are:
"The Great Manchukuo Empire Army's Central Training Department
For the matters concerned
Manchurian (compared with ethnic Japanese officers served in Manchukuo Army) C-class officer Guo Suofu, infantry major, as student graduated from Training Department's 6th training course, subjects achievement test passed, is awarded this certificate"
"Chief of Central Training Department, lieutenant general Li Shengtang, December 21 1937"

It's another diploma of your grandfather, issued by the Manchurian Army Officer Academy (president lieutenant general Guo Enlin), on November 20, 1939.

So your grandfather escaped from the bloody jaws of Red Army after 1945? :D A lot of White Russian were arrested and executed by NKVD and Red Army after they occupied Harbin.

Does anyone have any photos of Prince Takeda, the Japanese Emperor's cousin, who was one of the commanders of Unit 731?

I am also looking for biographical information in relation to his activities in the Unit. Was the Prince a trained doctor? A chemist?

The Japanese Emperor's brother Prince Mikasa was also involved in Unit 731. What were his activities there? Was he a trained doctor?

Anyone have any photos of the Imperial Prince's in Manchukou?
