I hope those helped. There's TONS of info on those sites. The last one is a bit more colourful and picturesque than the first two

I’ve heard that Admiral Yamamoto was not present, but I also heard that the NAGATO was part of the Kidō Butai which was Admiral Yamamoto’s ship he was assigned to. He was present on the NAGATO when the radio message “Tora, Tora, Tora!” was received.
What has happened has happened, history is history. We must accept and embrace the things that we are passionate about and the atrocities that had been committed. Denying history is an atrocity in itself.

Nagato was the Flagship of the Combined Fleet and stayed at Hashirajima Anchorage on 8 December 1941 Tokyo Time.BayonetOnAZero wrote: ↑12 Oct 2023, 22:26I’ve heard that Admiral Yamamoto was not present, but I also heard that the NAGATO was part of the Kidō Butai which was Admiral Yamamoto’s ship he was assigned to. Re: Re:
Agreed. NAGATO was NOT with Kido Butai when it struck Pearl Harbor. She never operated with the carriers as she was way too slow. The only battleships that could keep pace with the carriers were the four KONGO class ships.fontessa wrote: ↑12 Oct 2023, 23:24Nagato was the Flagship of the Combined Fleet and stayed at Hashirajima Anchorage on 8 December 1941 Tokyo Time.BayonetOnAZero wrote: ↑12 Oct 2023, 22:26I’ve heard that Admiral Yamamoto was not present, but I also heard that the NAGATO was part of the Kidō Butai which was Admiral Yamamoto’s ship he was assigned to.
