Japanese 18th and 56th Divisions

Post by Goldfish » 20 Jun 2004 13:24

Does anyone know where the Japanese 18th and 56th Divisions were raised? Both divisions fought in North Burma. I believe that they are both from Kyushu, but I am not sure of the exact area. Also, is there a good resource in English that details where each of the IJA's regiment and divisions were raised?

Thanks! I will try to get that book, but I think it is out of print.
