I noticed the high Taiwan death figures--must have been the result of air attacks?

No, I don't. I believe that such a data does not exit anywhere.

What does 'other' include? Does that mean in other regions or unable to determine?

The Yasakuni war shrine lists the war dead from 1937-45 as 2.325 million and the official statistic of military dead is 2.120 million. I understand the difference of 205,000 is made up of civilians fighting with the military. Do we have details of what makes up that 205,000?

Civil militia, nurse, merchant sailor, worker of munitions factory, war correspondent, etc.
