I'll mentioned the section on Japan on AHF: http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=38 (VJK has provided a lot of material that I'm in the process of adding)

For those interested – as I am – in the faces of the senior commanders:

1) A wonderful site, the “Sepia” webpage (members.at.infoseek.co.jp/rikugunshou/), with superb individual and group portraits (unfortunately, many unidentified).

2) Another magnificent site, the Mainichi Photo Bank (photobank.mainichi.co.jp/), with photos of all sorts, including military.

3) Finally, a little amusement: the senior generals (www5.ocn.ne.jp/~sauber/134.htm) and the senior admirals (www5.ocn.ne.jp/~sauber/77.htm). Very good drawings.

Best regards,
Biofan

Hi!

Re Biofan's third site with the cartoons, if you go 1 step deeper, you'll find pics of most of the full Generals (and similarly full Admirals): http://www5.ocn.ne.jp/~sauber/syouzoh.htm
