German arms exports to Brazil 1940

Hi

In February and late April 1940, the British stopped two ships with consignments of weapons for the Brazilian Government. Both consignments sailed from Genoa. However both vessels were stopped by the RN Contraband patrols. Only after some lengthy discussions were the vessels allowed to leave for their Brazilian destinations.

Does anyone have any information concerning the weapon/arms being delivered on these vessels, or even the name of the vessels concerned?

Regards
