thanks for the link, nice pictures. but i'm especialy looking for the exact dimensions, lenght, hight and thicknes of the balks. it's hard to relate this from the pictures, whe want to re-buils one and it must look 'standig'. so i'm think the about the balk that they must be 30 cm thick (diameter in dutch) and long 4 metres, hight 1,5 a 2 metres.

Translated from the link added above :-)
HEMMBALKEN: it is a trunk abre 8m long erected on pilings that support it at an angle of 30 ° to 40 °. The pile side emerge about 2 m and burrow into the sand of 2.5 m.

Its a strange country, in some case the gouvernement will pay. In the case of the tranches, its a public walking area and with this project whe made it more interseting for tourist :D But if whey ask a little bit for painting the inside, collection ore somthing like that, there is nothing possible. But whe have a good researcher who know the right way for the public projects. Other projects whe need to pay self, of course whe get some donations form our members and the foundation have more atractions like guided tours.
I hope that whey can realate the Hemmbalk project!

ps Stupid ... i have the drawing, wich Jan has placed, in mine own book, Seefront
