7.5 cm Flak M 35 (h) for Italy?
I have some unverified data that Italians bought 20 to 29 of this guns. They are named 75/39 or 75/49.Can anyone confirm this?

Hi Dili
The 7,5 cm Vickers gun was introduced in Denmark in the 1930's, 7,5 cm L/49 L.M.K. 1932. Denmark aquired 36, of which the Germans borrowed 24 "for the defence of Danish territory" in April 1940 - officially weren't occupied by them, they had only taken over the responsiblity for protecting our neutrality and souverainity.
However, they seem to have disappeared out of the country after a short time. In 1941 a report in the Danish foreign ministry states that they were in Italy.
There the tracks ends.
Best regards
Jens

Hi Dili ,
According to Filippo Cappellano (Le Artiglierie del Regio Esercito) : "....alcuni cannoni contraerie da 75/46 Vickers, che andarono a costituire il 28º gruppo da posizione su 2 natterie dislocato a Catania ed il 27º di stanza a Napoli....
...Tutti i pezzi catturati dai tedeschi vennero reimpiegati o ceduti alle nazione alleate come I`talia....
...Nel gennaio 1943 la DICAT poteva contare su 20 pezzi da 75/46 V"

Both the Danish State Arsenal and the Dutch were producing ammo for this weapon, but on top of that there was a production line in Germany since the mid-30s to supply Turkey with ammo for their Vickers 75mm AA. So this must have been a very useful weapon when captured.
