According to my notes, original 2 cm Flak 28 guns were bought in Switzerland somewhere after August 1928. But more Oerlikons were captured during the war, I think?
Thanks for your reply, Grzesio
Germans could captured 20mm Oerlikon guns in Czechoslovakia, Holland and France, at least....

Hi all,

An image of an 2cm Oerlikon field AA gun with a drum type magazine
I only had seen this type of magazine on the static pedestal version of this gun ?

Were interchargable both types of magazines ?? :?

Where was the last picture taken, some airfield... In the back you see other troops offloading a mount from a truck to install another gun...or they could be loading it

Hi all,

I found this image on Ebay. I think an aerial Oerlikon type gun in AA use, on a pedestal.
Was this mount a standard item or a makeshifting ??

Any idea about the exact model of the gun ?

Looks like an MG FF (or Oerlikon FF anyway).

It was an interchangeable magazine though. On the other hand, 2 cm Flak 28 was based on the Oerlikon S and was distinctively bigger than Oerlikon F or FF.

Hi Grzesio,

I did not know that a normal magazine could be attached to a gun designed in principle for drum-fed....
