Hello

Wn 260 Fortin á l´ouest de St. Sauveur? According to Chazettes "Mythe ou Realité" page 264.

But could be Flak-Abt. 931(v) which were ensconced around the Redoute des Fourches, also see this note:

All the antennas is a mystery???

Hello

I am a bit concentrated on and interested in the frase "overran three defended Luftwaffe installations in their way" Which could indicate that Redoute des Fourches and Redoute D´Octeville and one more is the three?

Still what was the three Luftwaffe installations in the Octeville area, and what was all the antennas for?

Hi!

How sure is the information about the Luftwaffe-post?

Please have a look at this list:
https://wwii.germandocsinrussia.org/de/ ... ect/zoom/4

As far as I noticed, the positions were sometimes not very accurate
and so I guess, this could have been Marinefunkstelle Cherbourg.
In case it isn't, could you tell me please where it was?

Best wishes and stay healthy
Rolf

Hello :D
The german color map of Cotentin Peninsula indicate green dot for Luftwaffe positions (Wn 260 , Wn 266...)

About the list :
The coordinates of the MFS Cherbourg matches with the location of the carrière St-Sauveur in Octeville !

But the coordinates "Funkfeuer Luftwaffe" did'n match with a know location

Hi!

Luftwaffe-Funkfeuer were often with Funksendezentralen of the Luftwaffe.

The position of the Luftwaffe-Funkfeuer fits with a Funksendezentrale,
which is on a map of 320.ID from 1st. Oct. 1942.

And it fits also with a Funksendezentralen-list I found last month in a
published BAMA-file. In this list a "Funksendezentrale 79" at/near Brix
is listed.

Its position is unknown to me, but I make a bet, that the FuSZ and the
FF were at the same position.

Best wishes
Rolf
