H.K.B. Vesteröen 5/980 4 x 12 cm K. 370 (b)
2 photos from this battery taken between 1945 - 1957 shows the guns were equipped with large shields! Could these be of German origin??

Hi Erik

The gun house is build on the H.K.A. turn-able , I am not sure
that it's German . My 2 cents are that the gun house is Norwegian .
Some of the personel use a German navy headset . Nice pics .

A book I just recieved says these sheilds were added in 1943 as an option for casemates(!). Reason is that the battery was intended to defend itself nearly 360 degrees..... So...That means they are German!

Hi Jos,

Regarding HKB Vesteröen, one K 370 (b) was destroyed in a accident on 18.5.42 and had to be replaced. The new gun was combat ready on 31.8.42. From See.kdt. Oslofjord.

Hello everybody,

In 1941 there were some 12cm (b) in position in Breskens (KVA2). These guns were probably moved short later to one of those six batteries.

Greetings

Hello Pierrot

These guns at Fort Frederik Hendrik were later used in the the M.K.B. Nieuwe Sluis ( Stp. Elch ) .
The one's from M.K.B. Moliere d' Aval must be from M.K.B. Tirpitz .

Hello

I found the link between M.K.B.Tirpitz and M.K.B. Moliere d' Aval , as you can see after rearnement
of M.K.B. Tirpitz with 10.5 cm S.K.C/32U , the 12 cm guns were used at the Somme mouth .
