4/H.K.A.L.A.101

Hello All

Did somebody of you visit this "Heeres-Kusten-Batteries" near Pointe de
Agde , there was a "Lehrabteilung 101" from the coast artillery of the army.
I know the batteries near the coast also called in French reports La Tama-
rissiere, but I am looking for the 17 cm K 18 witch was placed more inland ?

Regards Jos

I've been to Tamarissière and a lot of demolition has been going on there through the years.
A lot still remains but I think the 17cm battery was a fieldbattery without any bunkers.

Hello

I have seen a German map with this battery
with a +/-120 degrees field of fire , so the
battery must be build in Schartenstanden .

It's not the 4 battery but a other one with 671 near Agde , from the report US Manual TM 30-246 – Tactical Interpretation of Air Photos .

Thanks David

The 2./101 had 4 x 10.5 cm K 35 (t) , most likely the Sochelafette IV was used .

Hello All

Who can help me with this location of Lgn /W.n 094 , is there anything left there ??
On the map you can see the Gef.Std. H.K.A.L.A. 101 was not located at W.n 94 , maybe a other date .

Maps = NARA and Lenco van der Weel

Jos,

Indeed it is WELL the Wn094 of the little name Pioch. There is nothing currently. Now there's a golf course! This position was quickly destroyed after war because best became a career. I had the chance to know and photograph the last Bunker in place a kabel.
I'll post pictures tonight of the site until they build the golf course and the kabelbunker.
