Hello

They are put on to take the "splinters" from the explotion, so that the debris dont spread too wide and destroy / or damage anything. It is as far as i know some kind of rubbermaterial.

WN 217.
area cherbourg.
beach of the saline (st anne)
the R 502 to be equipped with its bell observation, which was with the WN 217 has was destroy in 2001.why??????????..... since still it did not obstruct of anything.

type SK bunker for èmisson radio TSF.
just has one km,STP les chèvres.
new destroy bunker in the area festung cherbourg in 2003.
the photograhs just front two day the destroyed.has the place or A was destroyed bunker, it one nothing rebuilt destroyed for nothing.

The article was published in april, but they have probably used an older photo from february, when the destruction began. Thanks for the notification, I have corrected the time frame!

Hello all

This time two from Jersey C.I

Number 1
Type: ???Sk housed a 7.5cm anti-tank gun
Place: Gorey
Why: Parking places
When: Mid 1970's (I think)

This was a very rare bunker if i remember rightly it was a combination of two bunkers,
this was the only example in the C.I

Number 2
Type: Personnel/air raid bunker unknown type
Place: Conway Street, St Helier
Why: unknown
When: 1956

dont you think the ventilation tower looks like the one built on the Führer-bunker...wierd! This bunker took SIX months to demolish 8O

:x for a tourist project of park, the STP 269 is not any more!et still one
