No. The policeman told them to be more careful at the places like this.

There are plans to demolish over 100 bunkers at the Danish west coast.
"21 dangerous bunkers are registered in the Ringkøbing-Skjern district. Moreover 10 bunkers are registered in the Thisted district, 46 in the Lemvig district and 31 in the Holstebro district."
Based on the news text, these seem to be mostly bunkers of the '1. Linie' that lie near the water line or already in the sea. I suppose the majority will be made up of types 58c, 67 and F-Stand. Maybe a few 680s and 676s too.

Hello

Thats correct, but it does not matter much - they are mostly in the water already and in so bad shape that the ironbars are sticking out and a danger to people bathing.

So, it is OK to remove them, I think - but - it will be very expensive.

You are right. While 100 is a large number and it is always sad when a bunker is destroyed, many of the bunkers there are lost causes anyway.

Dear Kurt, dear friends,

The reason for removing the bunker at Arques is houses building project. It's a pity because it is a rare bunker : only build in Dieppe-Le Havre sector.

Sebastien

A pity indeed. From the photos I've seen it was in rather good condition and seemed to have been maintained to some extent (Panzerteile painted to protect them from rust etc).

I assume that Die 017-800 was built after the raid, can anyone confirm this?

The Bunker BH2 at Briegden at the Albert Canal was destroid on 17 januari 2013.
This was a historical very important bunker because the famous Belgian writer Louis Paul Boon fought in this bunker during the german invasion mai 1940.

Hello,

Sad news again from Belgium

Just read that the Reichbahn Luftschutz bunker located inside the station of Blankenberge (KVA2, Belgium) has been destroyed last month. A new station will be built within 2 years.
This bunker was almost not visible from the street or from the platforms because completly overgrown with ivy. Luckily, we could measure and take a lot pictures of this bunker inside and outside a few years ago.
Only 2 more of this type (6m width) still survive today: one in Adinkerke and one in Zwankendamme. From the wider version (9m), we still have a few more surviving models : 3 in Ostend area and 3 in Brugge area.

Greetings

Pierrot
