Hi!

Thanks a lot fo the pictures, the drawing and the exact position!

"be careful of using archives" fits to your US-map. The building was not a
"U"-building as on the map, but two "L"-ones with the main entrance
between them.

Personnel for MPHS Brest was send from MPHS Soest and MPHS Langenargen.
My information is, that the first commanding officer of MPHS Brest (and the
belonged MPA (Marine Peil-Abteilung)) was Korvettenkapitän Wenzel and later
until the end Fregattenkapitän Schmeling.
Company sergeant major was Oberfeldwebel Feigenbutz.

The buildings left and right to the main entrance were accommodation. The
barrack in the middle was the evaluation. Underneath this building was the
bunker with the receiving rooms.

Their job was recording of military shipping traffic in the English Channel, in
north atlantic and the bay of Biscay. In addition they recorded the radio traffic
of 15th Reconnaissance group (?) of the RAF.

Best wishes

Hi!

Two more pictures from MPHS Brest at Trémeur...

Fregattenkapitän Wenzel during his "farewell-speech" (unknown date).
Please note the large "foundation" of the evaluation-barrack. After my information, it's the receiving-room-bunker.
