Here's a more obvious picture comparance of wz. 02/26 versus M1902:Jens Andersen wrote:Hello both

The "1894" may rather be a serial number than a year. However, I'm interested in the specific breech guard on the left.
With best regards, Ilya.

Re: Unknow gun
I've already posted the below photo on page 80... showing an AAgun at Veurne possibly during the German advance into Belgium 1940;
just now I find this photo; showing even more of these strange AA-guns on what seems to be the Belgian coastline;

Re: Unknow gun
The guns are 75 mm Schneider PD7 on Belgian mountings ("affût A.C.M.A").

Unfortunately the pictures on that thread are gone but Guy's post was in response to CNOCK's post of the same day which showed the same picture as your first one.

Re: Unknow gun
Actually the first 15cm sIGs were delivered with a spread mount in the early 30s, so we might be seeing here one of those.Alexander Taper-Bore wrote:It appears to be the barrel of the 15cm sIG on the carriage of the Rheinmetall 10,5 cm L30 field gun that was delivered to Turkey and Bulgaria. The single 'horn" is to the left. On the lFH18 the horn is to the right. Also the troops look to me like Bulgarians, see the pics below on this thread http://sharky-fourbees.blogspot.nl/2010 ... chive.htmlSturm78 wrote:Hi all,
I am confused with this artillery piece. 15cm sIG33 or 10.5cm leFH18 ?? Or a mixture of both ??

Re: Unknow gun
Best reference for the KT is Wilhelm Donko's book, in German only. The specified gun for all KT was a 7.5cm L40 (in an AA mount?).jopaerya wrote:Hello Dili
Different sources called the gun a 7.5 cm and others a 8.8 cm , hard to find good information on the K.T. ships .

KT16 ran for the RN under the name Monte Grappa from 17 April to 8 September 43, thereafter for the KM. It was destroyed by an air attack on 4 April 1944 in Genoa.
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41
