During Winter War there was 12 Bofors coming to Finland from Hungary, but transport was interrupted when Molotov heard of it.

After a while Göring gave a promise to send arms to Finland in small groups under a wrong title. So, Finland got 12 pieces high quality 40 mm agriculture machines made by Bofors.
I am always happy to get information, but in this case let's just say that I not completely unfamiliar with the events.

Take a look at the sights. I don't think that Poles used the Ring-sights.
More like British?

Hi all,

How can you distinguish between Swedish, Polish, Hungarian, Belgian, French, Dutch and English Bofors 40mm AA guns?

Is it possible to differentiate between the Bofors guns made by different countries which employed this gun by any of its external features?

Different wheels, sights,..... Any help will be wellcome.

Here two images from Ebay:

Image 1: According to photocaption French or Belgian gun, probably
Image 2: ???

In document at link there is a photo of a 40mm being tested Poligono del Lungomare di Sabaudia Autumn 1942. Text says provenience is uncertain. Sweden or captured in North Africa.
